How can one exist as a unique being among so many? We are all made of the same lines, yet arranged in singular configurations, like the strokes of a signature. Together, layered in community, these marks begin to blur into one another. Then, as FACES reminds us, the individual struggles to defend their distinctiveness, to affirm that the scribble shaping them is the mark of an unrepeatable presence.
