Dona de les Paraules came together through a convergence of Anance. Oriol “needed” a poet, and I “needed” a visual artist.
And when I say it was a convergence of Anance, I mean it literally—my desire to create an artist’s book had never been spoken aloud.
Oriol and his proposal took shape. Anance brought us together.
He had a clear vision of the technique he wanted to use—etching. I had a collection of poetry to contribute.
Oriol chose the pieces, shaped the geography, defined the form… everything gained weight, direction, and a clear purpose.
Because art takes shape at night, in silence, between dreams; and then the day begins, the sun rises, and everything is revealed to the light—to life.
